So, now I am trying to launch a custom swf from my UI swf. Launching part is working fine. Unloading that swf to go back to regular UI swf is the problem here. Display ayithe successful ga maaruthondi, I am able to browse through regular menus and stuff. But background lo maathram aa widget swf inka run avuthune undi, daani valla processor meeda debba.// konchem ardham ayyindi. UI swf will sure shot run in a flash engine in browser. custom swf when loaded and started, check if new engine instance is being invoked. check how you are getting back to UI swf, are you just calling back the flash engine? I guess, that's exactly what's happenning. just kill the engine instance for custom swf before going back to UI swf engine. make sure, new engine is not created again. | ||

i don't know whats ur application use SWF decompiler convert .swf to .fla , embed your movie ..generate .swf again... | ||

//widget swf is still running.// if you can handle this widget swf as an object itself, perhaps there could be some property or settings to stop it from replaying. Observe some websites replaying the last song or trailer in the play-list. If the swf can be told somehow to unload after playing once, much better, you can happily close your movieclip container component. | ||

Widget swf ki .fla file ivvaru maaku. We just download the swf from a web server on to our device's file system and launch it from our main System.swf which is already running Reboot is not an option, naa main swf lo previous screen ni display cheyyali after exiting from the widget swf. I am displaying that screen correctly since I am removing the movieclip running the widget swf. This seems to be the case. Earlier we were using MovieClipLoader class to load the swf into an empty movie clip. Now, I replaced it with just loadMovie()of the MovieClip class. I even tried explicit call to unloadMovie() on this before using removeMovieClip. Still the movie clip is removed from the display and the widget swf is still running. Simple ga C++ coding chesukunetondini ee gandaragolam lekunda. Ee kotha flash UI tho pedda headache vachi padindi. 4 days oka instructor on-site vachi edo cheppi vellipoyindu anthe. weak or phantom references may be still existing in the background. seems to me that container movie clip is not the only one maintaining the reference to that other child movie clip, but i guess, the engine that is supposed to play the movie clip also could fetch and keep a reference. i'd suggest, stop the engine, if any and then kill objects up the hierarchy. | ||

Kondaru Flash developers oka widget .swf ni create chesi ichaaru. Nenu maa existing swf lo oka empty movie clip create chesi andulo ee widget ni load chesi play chesthunna. Kaani daani nundi ela exit avvalo teliyatledu. Aa container movie clip ni remove chesi destroy chesthunna sare, I can see that widget .swf is still running in the background (from internal trace statements).
