Nenu sepedi ade babai..as of now he gives India an option to play 5 bowlers but down the line in 3 yrs he would'nt want to keep in tests ani anukutunna..hez not going to risk his odi/20-20 carrier by keeping in tests long term -- savage bro....i think we shouldnt expect players to be having long careers like our fab five.....short term cricket will take its toll and careers should become shorter......any team.....should not think a captain appointed now will serve even after three yrs.....adem planning......a better one may emerge.....or this guy may fail badly.......3 yrs is good enough time if we need a change....... We need 5 bowlers and 6 good batsmen which includes a keeper..at this point only Dhoni is fitting that bill...unless otherwise proved..the other players had a chance in SL series.. | ||

He cannot justify his place in Eng, Aus, NZ,SA etc. --- please take out NZ.....it is better to play on a punjab hockey maidan than in NZ..... SA....how many times did we tour them in the last 5 yrs? anyone remember? England....2004 lo 4 tests...2007 lo 3 tests...... only aussies and we are playing every 8 months....... We cannot win matches with 4 bowlers always..we need 5 good bowlers..given our fast bowlers' vulnerability to injuries.. --- dhoni is always for 5 bowlers...he said this in an interview.... 5 bowlers definite must to win tests consistently....... what are these tests overseas about.... India plays less test matches when compared to teams like aussies or england..... out of these if we take last 10 yrs we play hardly 3/4 tests outside on 'average'...when i say outside....in england/australia/south africa....NZ once in 3 yrs for 2 tests...... we play awful lot of ODI's where Dhoni is top rank player as of now......out of these ODI's more than 70% in subcontinent....... Given the dominance of BCCI in international cricketing affairs......aussies and engnland are touring us more often they were before......than we touring them.........they are coming next year to play the ODI's....... so overall in the next 5 yrs we play 30% of test matches in aus/eng/SA......dhoni is not worst there either....remember last year he and rain saved us a game in england? more over dhoni is the only man for ODI captaincy......its safe and obvious choice to make him captain of the test team.....different captains for diffretn versions of the game was a tried and failed formula....Micheal Vaughan is an example..... I would the say the long term loss is already done.....we didnt plan to overlap the careers of likes of Rohit sharmma etc to go with our greats......Kumble who is supposed be a mentor.....is strugling and....next test he will play as Feroz shah kotla will be a spin pitch....to make a comeback..... Hoping yevi ledu babai..as of now Dhoni will keep but when he becomes full fledged test captain he can't take off like on SL tour. He will eventually feel the stree of keeping/batting and captaining..ard 3 yrs lo he will look to bat and captain and make someone else keep.As of now there r some good keepers..Milap Mewada from baroda is a good prospect as well.. | ||

Dhoni is a fanastic T20 player and also a good captain. He is good to some extend in ODIs also as a captain. But I believe he doesn't deserve a place in the test-side.
