So what u ought to do in this time....Selling all the stocks doesnt make sense as they r bound to bounce back .... holding onto them also doesnt make sense as u will not be having any access to your money when in need.... So his plan is to prioritize........ Lets say if you are planning to buy a car or a house in the next five years then it is the time for you to cash your stocks....only to the amount of what u need....it doesnt mean selling everything but selling like say 20% or 30% Now if you have kids.....and if he is 10 year old...U r OK... But u have a kid who is like 13 or 15 and who is bound for college with in 5 years.....then u have to have cash in your hands for his college.... So if you are investing for your kids college and he is like 14 or 15 now then its time to withdraw dat cash and keep it with ya.... Now the security for savings is increased to 250K.....so aarraam se u can deposit ur cash in savings accounts.... Inkaa 401k gurinchi seppadu....naaku ardham kaaledhu... |
