check the sunday edition of dc... it seems nitin waiting for right script from bollywood Nitin in a new avatar Nitin, the affable boy-next-door of Tollywood, is back in action with two major releases. His much awaited ‘Heroes’ will hit the screen soon and it will be followed by a movie titled Drona, that is nearing completion. Fans will get to see a new Nitin in Heroes. From the friendly neighbourhood boy-next-door, he has metamorphosed into a cool dude for the movie. "Heroes is a love story with a suspense element," says the young actor. "My character demanded a cool look with a stylish hair-do." Nitin also sports a huge tattoo on his right arm, and this makes him look even cooler. The actor, who has a fetish for action flicks, says that Hrithik Roshan is his style icon. He longs to do the kind of role that Hrithik did in Dhoom-2. Another character that fascinates him is the one that in Ghajni. But like the other new generation stars of Telugu screen, he has not so far dared to foray into Bollywood. "I am open to Bollywood; it is just that I am waiting for the right script," he says. "I cannot comment on the plans of my colleagues. It is purely their choice." Only actors such as Siddharth and Madhavan have dabbled in Hindi films in recent times while earlier, big stars such as Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna had left their mark in Bollywood. Speaking of Chiranjeevi, the young actor confesses that he had been inspired by the megastar from childhood. However, it is Chiru’s brother Pawan Kalyan who is his hot favourite from the time he was studying for class X. "I entered films because of them," says Nitin. "The two actors have been my role models." He laughs away all the buzz about his getting married to his Heroes co-star Bhavna. "Well, all the stories about my dating or marrying Bhavna are nothing but rumours," he adds. |
