Ravino, Guri, KNF - you guys agree with Congress? http://www.eenadu.net/breakhtml32.asp HYDERABAD: Describing TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to launch an agitation on ‘corruption’ on Gandhi Jayanthi (October 2) as ‘joke of the decade’, the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) on Tuesday flayed the Opposition leader holding him responsible for several scams like Yeleru, power purchase agreements, fake stamps and food-for-work programme that took place during the nine-year rule of the Telugu Desam Party. Releasing a copy of an ‘open letter’ addressed to Chandrababu Naidu to the press here, Government Chief Whip N Kiran Kumar Reddy and whips S Udaya Bhanu and D Sridhar Babu claimed that people of the State were not ready to believe Naidu’s allegations against the Rajasekhara Reddy Government. It would be proper for Naidu to first come clean and tell the people about his involvement in various corrupt practices before going ahead with the agitation, they opined. In reality, Naidu had acquired huge properties worth over Rs 2,000 crore during his tenure as Chief Minister, they alleged. The CLP members remarked that the proposed agitation indicated that Naidu would once again face ‘insult’ in front of the people. |
