I would love to see Rohit shine at the International level.. The only cricketer I have seen in recent times atleast on the national scene who has the repertoire of strokes that match Tendulkar..and the audacity to execute them..against all classes of bowlers ..under any circumstances I am not sure how his temperament in the very long version (read test cricket)..so far he had shown enough class to succeed in 20/20 and 50/50...I wish him good luck.. With the arrival of Srikanth at the national level the only hope is that Badri will not be playing at the cost of Rohit..let us see.. | ||

There were so many Ranji players who played well whenever they had been given a chance..but somehow the selectors back then belonged to a different school.. --- oh yeah the famous amarnath jibe as well...... when it comes DADA....we conclude that...if not for quota system.....then can we say if not for Azhar for laxman? no we dont say that.....DADA is easy to attack......I'm disappointed...... I did not say..I disagree that backing is not required..but what I was saying was..the selection criteria was not that good during the late 80s and early 90s.. It has improved quite a lot now..with former cricketers who have gone through the same pain getting the reins.. FF..you know how the Mumbai players dominated the team ..in the early 80s..all other players from other regions were pretty much there courtesy the Quota system.. There were so many players who missed the national call because of this bias..towards player from Mumbai.. V.Sivaramakrishnan ..Abdul Jabbar.. MV Narasimha Rao..Abdul Azeem..to name a few... Even Ravi Shastri was rushed into the team i think because of injury of Dileep doshi..there were many more talented people around when Shastri came in.. Rest me...English Channel | ||
