It depends on your planning mama. Suppose your target is short term. It worked out for some who sold their homes quickly. |

It is very important to keep emergency fund. Open a separate account and keep some money just for emergency. Keep atleast what you think necessary for worst scenario. --- good suggestion.....nenu anukokunda last yr end nundi start chesa....for emergency situation.....atleast i think it will help ride out.....the bad phase 'when' it hits...... |

Politricks:Rocky Cool, thx.
2/3 yrs back, people who had homes and who had equity on their homes, took equity loans at 5% and invested that in indian Real Estate which yielded them high returns. But Equity loans are cheaper than CC and also CC are smaller and you cannot really comapre them. Lot of house owners took equity loans to use it for CC due to low equity rates. |

Katteyatam better aa leka Ye market conditions lo, gommuna mana dabbu mana kada unchukoni Card balance konchem konchem kattukotam better aa?
Depends on your cash flow situation: 1. Say you have cash crunch, keep the credit and pay it slowly 2. Suppose you have enough balance with you, if you get a return on your investment more than 6% then you can keep the credit 3.Or if you don't get enough return on your investment or the market is bad, then pay off your debt. |

Kkd:thammud...ninna expert analysis chooosa night around 10.00 ki
Simple Question andi!!!!! If the people on market analysis want to analyse, what is their incentive to tell the truth??? Just think about it. If a so called financial expert makes a claim "A" and secretly invests in it and gets 10 other to root for him, the only incentive on the back of which he will make u privy to info is that the information will drive his investment value up!!!!!!! This is exactly how the rating agencies screwed everything and you still believe in rating analysts??? |

Here the problem is Stock market does not really reflect the economy. They are not directly proportional. Stocks of companies that are doing great also dips when the stok market as whole goes down. Right now sentiment is dominating the market because of uncertainty. I am positive about economy re-bounce after Feb,mar 2009. Stay away from Stock market totally unless you have some extra cash. |

For all those who bluntly reject marxism, Lenin long time back wrote that: "best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and, while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some." What happened is exactly the same but on a global scale!!!! |

Not sure about this andi!! In as much I know, there are 2 schools of thought that propose 2 differing theories. One is the Keynesian principle of regulation and taxation which believes that Govt intervention can avoid boom and busts..in short monetary policy is what they believe in.The problem with this point of view is that it treats that inflation is not a part and parcel of recession. Neo classicism believes that Govt intervention can't avoid so called business cycles and that recessions are inevitable coz they lead to cheap money ( as the Govt uses its fiat money) which in turn drives a boom. |

just a piece of concern...What made u think of selling apple in a panic driven down market...doesn't make sense to me...tech stocks return in the last 3-4 years barring google has been very pedantic. Apple certainly is a good stock to hold and U shud have never sold it in the first place. |

House market. I sold my home in 2007 sensing bad things. I suggest to wait until March. Govt is pumping money into Freddi and Fannie and this will ease credit freeze. New govt means whole lot of change in every thing, should improve things. |

The problem is Finance companies are doing badly. They command only 15% of the total market capitalization but now they command the market direction. The recovery process will be very slow. Bail out is only a pshychological thing. Bail out is basically the govt buys the debts(bad and doubtful debts) from these banks and finance companies. Even if Bail out is passed it takes years for finance insts to recover. As far market is concerned, it will not be good. The other sectors are doing OK. If the oil prices stabilize around $90, it helps other sectors. I suspect the market will look good after the new president takes over Oval office. Unitl then, this uncertainty will continue. 1. If you own a house - If there is no urgent need to get rid of it, do't worry about it. Because the rents are also so high. 2. If you are on H1, nothing really you can do, keep the job and also be careful about your spening. Save as much as possible. Be ruthless about your spending and saving. |
