If there is one and only one movie I am limited and contrained to suggest I would recommend this movie...I think I watched this movie over 100 times...this is the most watched movie by me...this film gave impetus to neo-realism in cinema...I think I first watched this film in a festival in Calcutta in '87 or '88... strangely, the empathy is intact even after watching 100 times....nannayya kadha cheppe vidhaanam laagaa kadha eppuduuu chalaa simple gaa undi...chadive vallu kaanee...chuuse vallu kaanee daanilo kotta ardham vetukkunelaa undaalani naa abhipraayam...anduke naaku Robert Altman movies nachchavu...inspite of all the fame... asala opening scene lone kadha loki velataadu...De Sica tarvaata cinemaalu teesinaa...manaku ee cinemaane gurtuku vastundi Cinema for the larger audiences can not be poetic--Andrei Tarkovysky | ||
