Here is my take.......if you are stinking rich, go burn your cash or wipe your assx with it.....probably doesnt make much difference, which ever way you go.....
If you are a middle class guy, I don't understand the compulsion to invest.....what is it? like some kind of mania or syndrome that drives you towards investing?? ............when you see the markets being so jittery and 150 year old companies blowing up, may be it is not a bad idea to step back and re-think the strategies that were working all along from the past so many years.........if the issues can be resolved so easily, why should BSC, LEH blow up and others run for cover? It is more of a systemic crisis now.....
anyways, bottom line is the economic activity in the world is gonna slow down significantly......even with all these govt induced packages for individuals/business.......I hope govts are gods and can solve the problems by throwing money at the systems........atleast in the short term, 2-3 years, there is no freakin way that indian real estate has any more room to go up......and I think the prudent thing is to wait and watch.......lands padathaayo ledo teleedu....maybe no selling - no buying status quo maintain cheyyochchu......but when job market in india is hit, the apartment prices has to come down due to foreclosures.......I know a lot of working class people, buying apartments pretty much on loans.....and based on their future earnings....what is that future earnings cannot be realized.....
I say wiat and watch......dont lever up too much...I mean do not buy things on credit.............."Appu leni vaadu athi sampannudu" aney saametha ki value mundu mundu telustundi janatha ki......

Few of our family members live in Kalyanpuri and I know where you are talking about.
I have been going on those roads for more than 20 years..
You might want to enquire what is the going rate in that case, because now we are talking about at least another 3/4 kms from Tarnaka cross roads.. |

I think it is a decent rate..but depends on where in Tarnaka..
If (read IF again)..the Metro project gets completed...one of the lines is supposed to originate in Tarnaka and end in Hi-Tech city..so strategically it is a good location...
Even otherwise it is just 3 km from Secunderabad station..
Is it 2 bedroom apt? |

If you look at the historic precendents.....that is where it is pointing to.....the currency of the largest cereditor nation during distress times will be crowned as the leading/reserve currency....check out the last 500 years......till 1920 british ruled the roost....and when they screwed up USD took off.....now could be the turn of chinese......Although I have concenrs about their political scenario, I think they should manage to emerge the winner....
I have no sentiment as to "Mana gully" and "pakkanodi thalli"......anyways you can go with a mixed bag of currencies if not comfortable with yuan.......
I believe in age old theory of Roti Kapda Makan..
Hence the reason I am not invested much into Equities/Options either..
Hopefully your theory goes wrong (about China)..else I would have to think about sending my children to college in China...cannot imagine that  |

Guys,
Apologize for the drive-by post.....but please do your own research about the global credit crunch......the financial tsunami has just started and it will hit the indian shores real hard and very soon......every booming market(real estate, stocks, jobs...) will be reamed hard........what you have seen till now is not even close to what is gonna come.....
anyways, my take is cash is king in troubled times.....and there are fortunes to be made in distress times..........please make sure wherever you put the money, the government is not going the zimbabwe route......and your cash will be gold and more in the coming times........yuan is not a bad idea going forward....or else check out funds that deal/diversify in multiple currencies....
take care.....and all the best......anyways learn to deal with these markets .....or else markets will teach you the hard way.....all you indian real estate buffs, be extra careful........it will get slaughtered soon......unless you have a whole lot of black(block) money and no where to hide, keep out of it.....
Quants and my assx doesnt do jack shxit to your money management.......discipline will save you on a rainy day........this is not an investor's market, but a trader's market.... |
