Elca, nenu ee weekend TV lo Nandita Das Interview chusanu, she directed a movie "Firaq", Naseeruddin Shah, Raghuveer Yadav, Deepti Naval. This movie takes place in the aftermath of the 2002 Gujarat riots between Hindus and Muslims in which the majority of the death were Muslim - IMDB i heard glimpses of this movie from that show, i think she made a good movie, just wanted to give you a headsup. | ||

thammud...same view ettanu..movie is very good ...screenplay is excellent.. nasir and shergil are top rate...anupam is a good actor but not good in this role....he was just ok. BGM correct ledhu...konni loop holes vunnayi but pardonable.... | ||

ek button dhabaakey mere Jeene marne ka Faisla nahin karega (something like dat) A Wednesday.... Excellent Movie....A very important and very relevant one of our times.... A movie filled with extreme positivity and hope even when it was dealing with a hopeless situation called terrorism.... A movie which stresses on taming the Anger and CHannelling it to correct targets.... A punch in the crotch for weak folks who targets helpless woman and kids in rage when some terrorist disaster strucks... A ver very relevant Movie... THe movie works mainly because of the screenplay....A very tight one with an ample suspense build into it...A very novel attempt...A path untekked...An absolute shocker in the end...which is though very cinematic but completely justified and believable..... THe movie is made believable because of naseer bhai.....He completely transformed the movie from a decent one to a great one with one monologue....and what a monolgue it was.....One of the best in indian cinema recited by one of the best actors the country has produced.... THats wat great actors are made of...they end up making great cinema of decent ones.... Scope for improvements___________ Yes...the charcters of jimmy shergill and the other cop are somewat seems incomplete....not properly etched... Anupam kher as the Commisoner was OK...but not great.... If a Pankaj Kapoor or Om Puri(like in DEV) was there it would have been elevated in to a completely different zone.... The bomb blast scenes are tacky.... Over all with some better productions values and with a proper commisioner this movie might have lapped up a best international pic oscar...it has everything in it....plot....relevance and performances.... If You dont watch it then UR a fcking Loser  |
