As per IT SOX Compliance most of the changes which go to PROD should be properly reviewed and Approved by different people.
This is not mandatory in SOX controls,but this is a stage in ITIL(IT Infrastructure Library) gebnerally called as Change Reviews | ||

So that person would want some controls on how these numbers are generated. SOX is nothing but a regulation to prevent unauthorized access. For example, If you are a developer, U dont want to see HR data. 3 groups of people are involved in implementing SOX 1) People within the organization sets/defines regulations/rules. 2) People who enforce (User admins) 3) Internal & External Auditors. Internal auditors make sure the rules are being enforced as set by the first group. External Auditors(people from other companies like PWC) come and Audit your systems. If Audit is failed (repeatedly) there will be hefty federal fees/fines. sorry to differ, but its more like NOT allowing beldaar mesthri to do your interior decoration or wood work.
