Naidu doubtful on Balaiah's utility value Will Nandamuri Balakrishna be of any help to Telugu Desam in 2009 elections? This was the doubt, not of political observers, but of TD president N Chandrababu Naidu himself. According to party sources, Naidu, who had a long chat with Balakrishna, Junior NTR and Kalyan Ram along with Rajya Sabha member Harikrishna, at his residence on Sunday morning, expressed doubts whether Balaiah would be able to devote his time for full-fledged politics. His actual apprehension is whether Balaiah's campaign would really help the TD. But, he did not express his feelings openly. On the other hand, he requested Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram to take active role in campaigning for TD, since they are more attractive campaigners than Balaiah. The young heroes assured that they would do their best to promote the TD, but Harikrishna insisted that Balakrishna should be involved more seriously. Though it was a bit frank talk, Naidu ensured that he did not hurt Balaiah. Instead, he said Balaiah could help him whenever he wanted and found time. But Balaiah appeared a little more serious in entering politics.
