it is not only their leaders, but also the common people and the rigid religion that they follow are the reasons. Even today, Pak is dominated by about 100-120 fuedal families. Rest are gorrelu, just followers. Then, they did not give importance to education. Once you are a religious fanatic, who can not tolerate others beliefs, you will stay the same like that forever. That is where the shia/sunni conflicts continue there for ever. To make things worst for them, No elected govt completed their 5 yr term in Pak. More than 70% of the time after the indepence, they were ruled by Military dictator. Dictator gaallaki, results meedha pressure emi undadhu kadha? as he dont need to go to people for votes after every 5 yrs. Infact, pak was religiously liberal in 1950's and 60's. Zia ul Huk totally spoiled pak, when he was a military dictator for so many years. | ||

Unfortunately I think their leaders messed up the country big time.. Because when they got separated they got everything that they wanted.. they wanted it to be an Islamic nation...with Muslim majority..they got it.. so in a way their's is a more unilateral society..so it should be easy to manage..compared to ours.. in the pursuit of kashmir..they have lost lot of opportunities which otherwise they could have used for their benefit to grow in the international arena.. Jinnah walked away with most of the things he wanted but still the nation is in tatters today..because their leaders became greedy for easy money coming from you know who.. very sad.. | ||
