good post ... atleast now govt.must wake up and take proper and bold steps on reservation.. it will make the govt. sector and educational system strong...it stops brain drain... i have few idea's............ if someone uses his reservation in education , he is disqualified to use reservation in employement or atleast decrease the %.... if someone uses reservation in employement , his children must not be qualified for reservation...since govt. has already helped for the uplift of the family... this not only benifits FC's but also SC,ST and BC also...it keeps check on the families who have already used the reservation and helps the real poor and backward familes in them... I read recently, that IITs are planning to change their selection process. They are thinking of allowing only top 1% from various syllabi( CBSE, ICSE, State etc) to write JEE because they feel, non deserving candidatess are also gaining entry to IITs because of extensive JEE specific trainig in KOTA and Hyderabad.I hope this rule applies to all castes. | ||

Quantum .. instead of saying congress should go from the country ! understand that we are all part of a system and it is the system that drives us, if not u, the system will place somebody in ur place for the same work, functioning ! I hope I am not diverging here. Nobody is irreplaceable when it comes to the functioning of the system. So instead of looking for a similar alternative for congress, make the congress (or for that matter - any political party, NGO, govt ) toe the line of the system. Remember that line from Nana Patekar in Ab tak Chappan .. "Hum sub system ke andar hai .. hum system ko follow karte hain " .. something along this lines .. that is a perfect dialogue for congress, you, me, BJP .. anybody ! The 'janta' of this country has to pronounce, it does not need reservations on a caste basis. We as citizens have to design a system, which can make any other part of the system ( govt, bureaucracy, intelligentsia, media etc) obey to what it says ! My 2 cents. "Think of a solution, practical." (As told in the MBA courses !) | ||

Reservations are implemented to bring up poor SC ST and BCs..but the 90% of reservations are actually used by creamy layer in those groups. This kills the pupose of reservations. As we all know Indian polytical and admistration is completely corrupted. Everyone is MIS using the reservation system. They should not give reservations just based on caste..if any SC, ST BC guy has good income and jobs then their children should not get reservations.. OT is right in one sense...donations are as bad as reservations..
