// For every success story that we hear, there are 99 failed stories that we dont hear, coz no body bothers to write about those 99 cases. // There is nothing pessimistic about it......infact, it is realistic......first adi telusko!!!
Realism lo inko mettu ekkithey telise nijam......a very common thing, every story is unique in itself. company pettadu, inni rojulu run ayyindi, repo, ellundo, 20 yrs down the line em avthundo evadiki eruka? today's success story will be forgotten tomorrow, news is refreshed every nano-second.
take life lite baasu!!! do what you can do.....rest all oopar vaaley ki eignatha!!!! |

True BABA...but 1 success story is an inspiration for 1000 others...and that might again result in 1 success plus 99 failures... you got it...right? |

What does a guy who passes out from BITS Pilani with an Honours in Maths (MSc) and BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, do next? He applies and gets into half a dozen premier colleges in the US for a Master’s programme, after which he lands a plum job with a global corporation. Well, that’s not what Sanjay Padode had in mind, although he had clinched scholarships in a few premier US colleges. During his six-month internship at International Data Management (IDM) in 1989, after passing out of BITS Pilani, he and his classmate spotted a tender ad from State Bank of India in the newspapers calling for portfolio management software for its investment centres. "We decided to take a shot at it, as we were quite jobless at IDM. The company was in the process of being acquired and no one had the time to keep us engaged. We responded to the tender ad and were asked to present our solution. My classmate and I burnt the midnight oil writing code and came out with a demo-prototype in 15 days flat" recalls Sanjay. The day of the presentation dawned bright and sunny and the two boys came face-to-face with the who’s who in the business — giants like TCS, Mastek etc, all of whom made impressive presentations. "As expected we were the last to be called in, we had no presentation, but the general manager loaded the prototype we had developed on his computer and after what seemed like an eternity to me, said — "That’s exactly what we’re looking for." We had hit the bull’s-eye and landed the Rs 5 lakh order" said Sanjay. That day an entrepreneur was born. Today, the company that he floated initially — Infotech Software Consultants is the present day Asian CERC, which commands more than 80 per cent market share in both financial information dissemination and in providing technology solutions for securities trading and became a listed company in 2001. With a headcount of 250 people and revenue of Rs 120 crore, Asia CERC recently acquired an Australian company which specialises in capital market solutions for $23 million. Sanjay dons the critical role of Managing Director as well as Software Architect in his company. His advice to Gen Y: "Go ahead and dream on, but also learn to live that dream through, even when you get hit by rough weather." Sanjay lived through the darkest moments in his business in 1993-95 when the Harshad Mehta scam hit his company at the roots. "The markets tanked out and at that point we had made huge investments in the business and had hardly any takers. That’s when my classmate who was my partner opted out and joined the relative safety of the corporate world" remembers Sanja |
