SivaNageswara rao interview http://www.telugucinema.com/c/publish/movieretrospect/money_ retrospect_2.php for MONEY Music: Initially, M.M. Keeravaani gaaru was supposed to do the film. As he worked forKshanakshanam, Ramu wanted Keeravaani gaaru for Raatri and Money. We even made an agreement for both the movies, and Keeravaani gaaru composed two songs (bhadram, be careful, brother-U!... and chakravarthikii veethi bicchagattekii...) too. But, after Raatri completed, Keeravaani gaaru saw the rushes and said he was not comfortable doing music for a horror film as he would get distrubed in the sleep when he watches such films! Ramu was upset with him, and took in Mani Sarma to work for Raatri. Mani Sarma was then a busy keyboard player, earning at least five to ten thousand rupees per shift, and thus he said he was too busy to work on my film also. Srinivas Murthy gaaru was the conductor for many top music directors at that time. So, I went and asked him for music, he readily agreed. The song bhadram, be careful, brother-U!... was actually a song between Chakravarthy and Chinna, and we even shot it that way. Later, we changed it to Paresh Rawal, Uttej, and others. |
