Yes it will never end .I like Amitabh and you like kamal. Reagrding comaprision its rediculous,sarkar is orinary commercial movie whereas Maqbool is superb movie and its well apreciated in international film festivals.Both movies have diffrent plots and compriing characters of both movies is not apt. If you want comaprision I will give some examples Amiatbh's Akhari raasta is Kamals khaidi veta remake.here both did well,but I felt amitabh's performance better than kamal | ||

I dint watched many Big B movies..only few Coolie,Azooba,Aankhen,K3G,Mohabbatein and Khakee. I like his diction as a voice-over in the films like 'Lagaan' and 'Koun banega crorepati' than acting in above movies. | ||

Dude dont U c...U like Big B... this will never end.... But from the number of movies I have seen....and whatever I learnt and observed...its my perspective on amitabh that he is an OK actor....some time people are not willing to see beyond his voice and towering persona.... Take Amitabhs Sarkar Compare it to Pankaj kapoor in Maqbool and nana patekar in apharan all similar characters.....U see the difference Watch outfor nayagan kamals hardly 35 in dat movie???watch out the scene when he goes after his daugher for abusing kanak raj...or his confrontations with his grand daughet... Amitabh rocks in wooing the masses...theres no two questions about it..dats it | ||

Will tell U....amitabh is pretty inconsistent...He will have flashes of brilliance here and there in a movie...it wont be consistent through out the movie....u see sarkar raj when he gets stroke after seeing the blast...pretty ordinary... See him perform at Abhisheks death bed ...he is good look kamals performance through out Nayagan....splendid I have seen most of the movies U metnioned in TV... pretty ordinary except Anand and other hrishida movies... Iam not a kamal fan...but I have respect for his talent and passion for cinema..dats it | ||

ok but so called thses talented actors you mentioned kamal hasan,Naseerduin shah,ompuri etc why some times unbearable to watch ? ok Now I understood.I think You watched few movies of BigB and you came to conclusion. I 70s he did variety roles and at that time he was an upacming actor he never did for image building.From 80s onwards he acted all commerical masal movies for star images. The movies of amitabh I mentioned portray him intense and powerful peformer The movies of kamal you mentioned more or less same manner m soft and sesitive charterisation may be getups and mannerisams different for each character | ||

First of all Why are U giving so much importance to mythology????? secondly...no one knows how Krishan looka or Rama dresses...Watever they did its final...u have to see...nothing taking away from em..they were good... Whats so diversified in the roles done by the people u mentioned...when u said Social U know how much variety U r talking about??? A rebellious Hooligan,A Paralyzed war veteran,A good hearted mafia head,A husband coping up with the deat if his wife by getting addicted to perverted sexual activities,A Whistle Blower in a corrupted Newyork waterfront,,A parasytic miner husband.... And many more........ THese are all the characters done by brando.... dont get me started with deniro and pacino.... Each and every character is a case study.....a perfect artful depiction of classes,natures and emotions....I will talk about it for days...and I can dissect each and every emotion its importance and its relevance....thats wat good actors are about...they know each and every nuiance of what must be done before the camers....So just dont say social... Amitabh I mean Apart from comedy and chopras romance he didnt venture into anything else other than action.... how can you compare him to kamal???? | ||

Nope....its determination and dedication to the art that makes U to go for a method... Marlon Brando spent months in a nursing home to get into the character of paralyzed war veteran in the movie THE MEN... De Niro rode Taxis in manhattan at nights for months to prepare for taxi driver role Daniel Day lewis again apent months in Butcher Shop in london before he took the role of Bill the butcher in gangs of new york... There are many folks in india too who do this...Iam not recollecting now... AMitabh is not older generation...70s...by that time with their exposure they would have known everything about these tricks.... I dont agree with the excuses...if UR talented U will have burning desire to prove ur worth in different roles,,,, | ||
