yupp...it toned away but not completely....some people still follow that mode of communicating in acting regarding mythologies....I think those people played the roles like that and made audience believe that mythologies need overaction.....i dont know how far its truth .... there is a movie called troy released in 2004.... in that movie there are these actors Brendan Gleason,brian cox and eric bana playing the roles of melelas..agamemnon and hector respecively..... The way they emote is flawless......we never feel like there is any over playing of their charcters...... where as the old school peter o toole as Priam completely goes over board.... | ||

When you are performing in theatre you need to glorify your expressions as U dont have the luxury of cinematography to enhance the scene with locations or visual effects....... almost all the best actors of older generations came from dramas and they continued doing this in movies....everything is over played.......even SVR not above it.... guru datt was ok dilip kumar was ok....anyone else????} |
