This provision of 30% local sourcing is for manufactured goods - which need to be sourced locally and can also include Infrastructure building activities. If food is a manufactured commodity then it falls in this category, otherwise does not. and no sane business man will import vegetables, rice wheat from abroad and sell in India - it is the other way round. anyways - coming back to 30%, Walmart should not find it difficult to adhere to this law which has been framed in good spirit. Unless they have a strong case which the policy makers may have missed initially, this should not be allowed | ||
