First of all everyone say thanks to jaipal reddy and then to congress. He is the person behind getting this project to hyderabad. This project will be done on the basis of build operate and transfer model like our airport . The cost is 10000 crores but recetnly increased to 12000 due to increase in costs. central govt will give some 2000-2500 dont know exactly . sate govt some 1000 - 2000. remaining antha private comapnies will put . but since this is BOT model . for thirty years those companies will take the revenue form this project like airport. this project will be done under the supervision of sridharan who has successfully completed the delhi metro rail project . he is technically sound. this project will be done in time mostly , we need not worry about that because sridharan will take of it and also sicne it is BOT , if they cannot complete private companies they lose money. so mostly will be done . once again thanks to jaipal reddy in getting us this metro rail to hyderabad. Once the piers for metro rail are laid I suppose it becomes almost impossible to construct any more flyovers intersecting these metro lines. How are we going to solve Traffic problem for the following points? Line 1: Kukatpalli Erragadda SR Nagar X Roads Ameerpet / Saarthi Studios X Roads Kharitabad X Roads Lakdikapul (Assembly - Ravindra Bharathi - Secretariat)) Nampally Mojimjahi Market Afzalgunj Chaderghat Dilsukhnagar Line 2 Sangeet X Roads - Secunderabad Stn - Chilkalguda X raods RTC X roads Kachiguda X roads / Sultan Bazar Koti Line 3 Mettuguda X Roads Secunderabad Stn Minister Road X Roads Ameerpet / Saarthi Studios X Roads jubilee Hills Checkpost Providing connectivity for International Airport and Metro Rail really does'nt solve traffic problem for a commuter going to his office daily. Metro could serve only 16 Lakh/6.1 million people living in the city. Currently only 40% of the people use public transportation (APSRTC...) and the rest mostly use their personal vehicles. If our city planners don't come with a proper solution now things are going to turn from bad to worst as it becomes almost impossible to tackle the situation especially with Tata's 1 Lakh Nano cars hitting the roads by this year end. If our Govt is spending 8700 CR for serving transportation needs of 16Lakh/6.1Million people it should also give more emphasis and spend on providing proper infrastructure for (6.1 Million minus 16 Lakh ) people living in Hyderabad. | ||
