I was thinking about this today...

Why the is it SO important how much money people make?

Here's my point: being "poor" in America is like being rich in Honduras.

We have an unbelievably high standard of living, and a social safety net that provides enough for the poor that even most of them all have HDTVs.

Why do people need so much shit? And why are women so obsessed with what men "make"?

$20,000 a year (net) can afford you a small apartment/trailer, all basic needs, TV, internet, computer, clothes, decent food AND a car. A person at that level of income and standard of living is NOT poor in my book. They are fully provided for.

Yes, $20k limits your freedom a bit. You can't travel (much). You can't eat out everyday. You can't buy shit you don't need. But that's about it. You may not be able to afford a private college for your children, or afford lots of toys for them. Boo hoo.

How is the life of a person who makes $20k so drastically different from someone who makes $100k? It's really NOT that different, other than the sort of adornments and symbols rich people invest so much in: EXPENSIVE cars, EXPENSIVE houses, EXPENSIVE clothes, EXPENSIVE dinners out.

But isn't it amazing how American women put SO much emphasis on this? It goes to show how WARPED and up their minds are.

Go live in China for a year, live as most Chinese do, on $10 a week. Then we'll talk about what "poor" is.

This is why I hate most Americans. They're just pure shit in human form. Materialistic, ego-centered wastes of humanity. My god. it all, man. Nuke this dump from orbit.

And what I find most hilarious is the sort of ANGST certain trendy Millennials express over "growing up poor", not "having anything" or coming from a family that wasn't as rich "as all the other neighbors around us", being SO poor "I had to work a job when I was 16 to afford my iPhone and new Mustang."

Poor in America? I don't think so. Maybe parts of Detroit. Maybe parts of the South. That's it.

At issue here, however, the point of my thread, is the social stigma afforded men who are not "well off".

Women put SO much emphasis on this. What is wrong with you stupid ? Get OVER yourselves and be thankful for what you have, because you may not have it tomorrow. When is enough enough for you idiots?

It's really just hitting me how CRAZY this is.

We hear a LOT of arguments about the evolutionary imperative of women to find a "mate who can provide" -- yes, I get that, but really? 20k isn't enough? Ok, how about 30k? Nope. 40k? Nope. Never enough, is it?

That's where it is so skewed. Women are so money-hungry, materially-obsessed and greedy, they have no perspective anymore on what matters and what doesn't.

(And, and before you even go there, yes, I make $20k. I used to make a lot more. I used to make 60k to 70k. My life is no different now than it was then, I except I no longer have a $400 car payment, I own my car. I also realize if a woman is looking at a man to raise a family, 20k might not be enough. But 30k is. But I promise you, they're not settling for 30k -- they want 75k, 100k, it's never enough for these money-grubbing ! "But, but, it's for my kids, I want my kids to be well taken care of!" Yeah, sure, while you get weekly spa treatments and hire a nanny!)
