I think we already have civilian nuclear reactors. having a treaty like this will ensure that proper care will be taken by NPT to dispose the uranium wastage. we are not going to generate 100% energy. its going to be just 20%. a country like india with growing demand for energy need nuclear reactors. inaction is also an action - pvn | ||

US-India Nuclear deal is in news from last three years or so. Indian govt is really putting themself suicidal position to sign this deal. Is this nuclear technology going to produce so much power to satisfy indian power requirements. Decide after learning following facts. How much power is produced by USA using Nuclear technology. 90% no.. 80% no.. It is just 20%. Most of the USA power is generated by using Coal. It is not just state , total state population . Untill now they cannot gurantee that accident did not cause any helth problem to the people who lived near by that nuclear plant. After this accident Total usa govt is againest nuke technology to produce power. That is why even after 30 years after usa got nuke tech , it is not implementing it in high level. They are trying get ride of it slowly. The waste should be controled or stored so that it cannot effect earth for thousand,million years. Do we have any solution for it? I do not think any perminant solution.. What india is planing with this nuke technology? are they planing to implement for 100% power generation? If so , All indians will have only below 40 years life span in near future. Can india spend same research on other alternatives like wind power and solar energy. It may not satisfy india power requirement but it would atleast does not effect human life |
