H-4 Employment Authorization Proposed Rule in the USCIS Agenda with a Planned Release Date of July 2013: H-4 spouse employment authorization "proposed rule" was targeted to be released in March 2013 under the USCIS 2012 Fall Semi-Annual Rue-Making Agenda. March 2013 has come and gone without the release of this proposed rule. Now newly released Spring 2013 rule-making agenda indicates that they are targeting at releasing it in July 2013. We will see whether this proposed rule will indeed be released this month. Please stay tuned to this website for this news. After proposed rule is released, they will still have to go through final rule making process before this program is implemented. Therefore, we still have a long way to go before this program is implemented, but in a way, it is a positive news that this program has not been abandoned. Jai PARAKALA |
