Depends up on the camp and the interest the kid had in that activity. My experience:My daughter goes to taekwondo. The same school offeres sumemr camps too. But, i did not send her in the last year by thinking it was a waste of money(As i work from home).But all the summer camp kids made lot more progress than my kid and they jumped 2 belts(atleast one belt by few of them) by the time the summer completes. As they were practising intenssively durign summer camp, they made lot more progress than the kids who were not in the camps. | ||

Helps a lot, Even if both of you are not working and you can afford it. Its not what they learn but they will build Social skills that is very important in this country. They make new friends, work as a team, independent thinking when parents are not around, and little bit learning. And most of all my kids say its lots of fun at summer camp where you do activities which you won't do at school. | ||

you are thinking about it now? after summer started? For most of the popular/good camps, seats will be filled in Spring :-) I agree with Simba. If both parents are working then it makes sense to sign up for camp based on their interest. | ||
