http://www.dnaindia.com/india/1517536/report-icse-calls-shah id-bhagat-singh-terrorist-court-says-change-it
quote:Abhay Singh Sandhu, son of Bhagat Singh's younger brother Kulbir, believes the Congress has tried to play down the contribution of freedom fighters like his uncle to promote the Nehru-Gandhi family. Sandhu (52) told MiD DAY from his hometown Chandigarh, "Bhagat Singh was always projected as a terrorist who hurled bombs and fired bullets, which is not true. I feel this is a conspiracy of the Congress to give mileage to the Nehru-Gandhi family and marginalise the freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh and Subhash Chandra Bose as they were against the ideology of Congress."
http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/congress-projected-bhagat- singh-as-a-terrorist-18326 only one family is projected as saviors of the country and little children are brain washed with falsities in the name of history .. and rest all freedom fighters are demonized or worse ignored with very little introduction to future generations .. He was referring to an earlier attempt by the NDA government to rewrite NCERT history textbooks prescribed for schools to correct what it saw as distortions introduced by Marxist historians who have come to dominate the social science academia since the 1970s. The NDA initiative was widely criticised as an attempt to saffronise history. Professional historians also claimed that there were factual errors in the books put in place by the NDA. The books were discarded when the UPA returned to power and replaced by new ones. The agenda of changing the syllabi is yet another hint of a subtle ideological hardening on the part of the BJP. Recently, it anointed a polarising Narendra Modi as its campaign chief for 2014 without bothering for the Janata Dal (United)’s threats, leading to the NDA splitting and getting reduced to a compact, right-of-centre alliance of political parties.
