arikatla soola sodana ...sting operation on kavuri  The elevation of senior Congress MP from Eluru Kavuri Sambasiva Rao as union cabinet minister on Monday might have caused a lot of jubilation in the state Congress circles and also his family, but it has certainly disappointed his daughter Dr Sri Nagi. It may be mentioned that Sri Nagi’s name has almost been finalised for the MLC seat under Governor’s quota and it is only a matter of time that her name is officially declared. However, with Kavuri getting the coveted union cabinet minister post after a gap of 30 years, the chances of Sri Nagi getting the MLC post have now become bleak. According to reports from New Delhi, the Centre has already rewarded Kavuri with two prime posts: permanent membership in the Congress Working Committee and a berth in the central cabinet. Therefore, the high command might not be willing to nominate his daughter to the legislative council. Now, it is a blessing in disguise for chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who can now recommend his friend Raghurami Reddy for the MLC post under Governor’s quota and get it approved.
