Why did Dravidians migrate to India ante - same logic as any other migration (right now from India to US), in search of better food, space, making better livelihoods etc. In fact you can do it overland from Africa to India. But the fact that there are no African origins along the Middle East probably indicate a over-seas migration than over land. And before the continental drift, migrating to India from Africa over sea also is also not that big a deal. People have made much bigger migrations from say Australia to Polynesia. And quite often, sometimes fishermen can wander, get lost and land up on unknown shores... | ||

Oh okay. I've just never bought into it. I think humans are capable of pretty amazing things - like the Easter Island statues or the Pyramids or coming up with dense mythology - all by ourselves. So the idea of extraterrestrial beings "helping us" just went out of the window for me. With the Mayan sarcophagus, why do we interpret that as standing vertically and not horizontally? That's something I've never figured out. I think we're imposing our experiences and beliefs retroactively on the past when we take something like that and ask if that could have been a spaceship. As for the common mythologies, I think a lot of those are just natural human reactions towards experiences we've all had. A lot of culture attribute thunder (or whatever their interpretation of thunder is) to God, because of the sheer power of thunder to evoke fear and wonder among humans. I'm sure early trade and mythmaking practices influenced a lot of these common narratives. I'm sure I've also internalized a fair bit of stigma associated with UFOs and these contact hypotheses.
