Big mistake. My sincere advise to all of those who can afford. If possible, keep all your investments on your parents name. That way - it serves 2 purposes. 1. Even if you take citizenship, that land would still be legal. 2. I did more than one can imagine in their dreams. It all depends on $ to Rs conversion rate at the time of maturity and how long you can get 0%. I burnt my hands HEAVILY beyond repair. As long as you keep the $$$ in US and do something better with it, its all good. other wise, you have bigger risks involved in the form of conversion rate. and another bigger problem is - how do you bring the money back?
