Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy who was originally scheduled to inaugurate the RoB failed to turn up. Estimates of the HMDA say around 1 lakh vehicles use the spinal road every day and the RoB would offer a smooth connectivity.
âSo far commuters have been using the narrow vent which created a lot of congestion. The new facility will ensure smooth passage and reduce travel time,â said an official.
The work on the 910-metre long stretch commenced in 2007 but the progress was delayed due to various reasons.
