Oh no!!! Hackitosh is a pain in the rear to build, maintain. No OS patches/upgrades. The motherboard you put comes with BIOS (firmware) suitable for any OS. But, OS X looks for EFI firmware on motherboard. That's the big difference. There is lot of hacking to be done and is not stable. I wouldn't recommend. Bite the bullet and get a mac pro. FYI... my first mac was Mac Pro from 2006 running twin dual-core Xeon processors. I upgraded the OS twice (tiger -> snow leopard -> Lion) and it still runs like new. Absolutely no depreciation. | ||

Have you ever tried building Hackintosh? Do you suggest going this way to build Mac Pro Configuration? Please share your experiences.
