So, it was at the request of Raghuveera that union tourism minister and megastar Chiranjeevi had a day-long campaign in Koratagere constituency from where Parameshwar contested. Though there were huge crowds to the meetings of Chiranjeevi, they did not vote for Parameshwar who lost by nearly 14,000 votes. By the way, Raghuveera has a lot of clout in parts of Sira, Pavagada, Madhugiri and Koratagere assembly constituencies, as he hails from the Kannada-dominated Neelakantapura village of Madakashira mandal in Anantapur district and also represents the powerful ‘Yadava’ community which is also said to be predominant in these constituencies.
