i still stand my best statement  talent in this context is the ability to sing different genres and try to sing with perfection with as minimal faults as possible. from that stand point in this entire SS7, Anjana Sowmya rocked amongst all contestants. sangatulu perfect gaa palikaayi. she never lost her sruti or tempo and she did justice to all genres. however, as a playback singer, i still believe that GM is the top most singer of her era amongst her contemps - period. infact ee roju mana co DB member to cheppenu that currently in Hyd, HC and GM are the top singers. And finally PR does count bro - believe me! MD garemo "vaadu evadu naaku opportunity ivvadaniki". ultimately the MD pulled out and another MD was invited to the conference. ee incident jarigina 3/4 years taravata, aa MD ni kaliste, he asked me if i knew that US organizer and when i said yes, the MD cursed the convener saying "mee US vallaki musicians ni respect cheyadam cheta kaadu raa" antu nannu saava dobbs. all i did was went to invite the MD for my brother's marriage | ||

+1 to everything you said, Malavika atleast tries to sing all genres. AS seems like a hard worker but I feel there is nothing unique about her voice, very similar to Slatha and Janaki. In SS7, she has done exceptionally well, and not to mention she never gets judged by Sunitha and CB is very liberal to their team.
prati thread lo GM ni undermine cheyakunda vundaru kada sorry for calling as I see it. GM can't sing what AS can and vice versa, so in the music industry the niche market they are both vying for is different. I have an issue when people try to undermine successful folks, that they are lucky or something else, or it just might be that GM is successful because she is also the best in her kind of songs. And frankly, if PR is the only difference, I wonder why everyone else are unable to follow and repeat the success mantra. | ||

its about voice culture babai. GM has an excellent commercial voice culture. it will suit majority of the genres. Anjana has auditioned with majority of the music directors - keeravani, mani sarma and DSP. i think they will pick her for the right song that they deem will suit her voice. its a well known and accepted fact that Anjana and Malavika are more talented singers than GM. Career is also about maintaining the right PR and relation with music directors/arrangers not just singing. | ||

her voice is a replica of swarnalatha. 1% kooda teda ledu. swarnalatha is a very talented singer but she was only given a certain genre of songs with folkish tinge. | ||

Malavika has a sweet and melodious voice. Problem is her voice is cracking when she is going high pitch. Thats why tanaki marks taggutunnai. Even if u hear the "priyatama song" from alapana where she got 300/300, mottam charanam lo voice crack ayyindi. Anjana Sowyma - her voice is a not commercial voice. Swarnalatha ane singer voice ni polina voice. konni songs ki matrame suit avutundi. aite, easy gaa high sruti reach avutundi. But playback singer gaa continuos gaa success avvadam kastam ee ammai voice culture ki. As far as scoring is concerned, for most of the judges/singers, SS7 is just another competition. Some take it too personally - edo life and death type lo chestar. nothing can be done for such folks. | ||
