Naidu To Attend NTR Statue Unveiling! Published Date : 04-May-2013 12:49:53 GMT Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is understood to have decided to attend the function being held to unveil the statue of his father-in-law and party’s founder president N T Rama Rao on the parliament house annexe in New Delhi on May 7. According to party sources, Naidu told the party colleagues that he would attend the NTR statue unveiling function as it would send a wrong message to the people and NTR fans if he did not go there. Since all the members of the NTR family have been invited to grace the prestigious occasion, it would not be proper to stay away from the function, he said. However, Naidu reportedly told the party cadres that he would be attending on behalf of the TDP, along with the party MPs, as he got the invitation from Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar who hails from Congress party. Purandeshwari also reportedly wrote a letter to Naidu in the capacity of NTR’s daughter, he would go in the capacity of TDP president only, say sources. |
