Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Tuesday predicted that the YSR Congress party would meet the same fate of BSR party floated by B Sriramulu in Karnataka. The YSR Congress party might have won a few seats in the by-elections in the state, cashing in on the emotional factor prevailing in the state after the arrest of its president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. But such emotional atmosphere is not there at present, as the people have realised that he was jailed for his corrupt practices. They no more have sympathy for Jagan, who had indulged in large scale corruption, Botsa said. The PCC president reminded that BSR Party in Karnataka, too, had won a couple of by-elections due to the sympathy towards Gali Janardhan Reddy after his arrest in the illegal mining case. But once the people understood that Janardhan Reddy had been in jail due to large scale corruption in the illegal mining scam, they have lost the sympathy.
