Central Bureau of Investigation joint director V V Lakshminarayana does not discriminate between mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy and YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, despite the fact that the latter is the most popular politician of the state. Lakshminarayana told the media persons that there was no difference between Gali and Jagan, as both of them had committed serious economic offences. When asked how long should Jagan remain in jail, a smiling CBI chief said: "when Gali can be in the jail for nearly two years, why can't Jagan?" So, it clearly shows that the CBI wants to ensure that Jagan remains in jail as long as possible so as to deny him an opportunity to go into the people. And the CBI special court, too, has been supporting the CBI stand.
