The purpose of this thread is for info only and not to make anyone panic. But at the same time be cautious sending out kids to play dates even if they are desis unless you know them well. Don't make quick friendships and confident assumptions on others. May be they are good. but hey.. u never know.. | ||

{pk-super-icon} It is very important to keep in the loop with kids and know their daily activities. Ask kids about their day and what they did at shcool, etc, they usually give you a detailed rundown. You constantly stay on the lookout for oddities in their daily routines, that is the only way.
They need to get as much info from kid as possible about these play dates, in a discreet and calm way so that kid does not panic and give wrong info. That is the only way to find out if anything happened. | ||

good points at my kids' 4th yr physical, the doctor said is an assuring tone " Because I am your doctor, I am going to look inside your undies. Is that OK? Do you understand? Only mom and daddy and your doctor can do this" - I appreciated that she made it a point to talk to the child and let him know why she is doing it Kids are very impressionable, good or bad effects them for a long time. When they are young, parents should make it a point to pass on the message in a subtle way Chiding them for running around the house naked will not help...they might find it amusing when someone else other than parents allows them slowly restrict desham lo grandparents tho two types of issues 1. some say chi chi yuck, at private parts 2. some give too much freedom - encourage exposure both cases not good talk, make the kid understand baatamline...eyelids laa safe guarding is vonly option | ||

maa friend A oka community lo untadu. ayanaki oka desi dost B unnadu. B works in one of the pvt schools as teacher. gets free education to kids, an expensive car and many other aminities. A and B since live in same community are good family friends and sending out kids for a play date is quite common. One day B asks to send A's kids for a play date. A says NO as he is busy and little lazy. B calls few times repeatedly . A thinks what the heck is this.. Meanwhile B comes to A's home and says I have a problem. Now A is surprised and asks whats up? B says that he is removed from job, no more salary, no luxury car, no more free education to kids etc., A queries what happened? Then B says I am booked for offending a kid in school and is now on bail worth in coupld hundred thousand dollars. Soon will be in Jail. Now comes real shocker to A and don't know what to say or do. Don't know if something happened to their kid during one of the playdate but no major compliants or stuff from Kid. Note: Please be cautious and aware where, when, why and especially with whom your kid(s) are interacting. Sometimes danger may come within community and train kids from the age of 5 about their privacy, rights and ask them to report any untoward activity towards them and/or thier body. |
