Terrorist is anyone who terrorize people with violence. British accused the same of Indian freedom fighters, barring Gandhi & Co. Even Buddhism(Indian religion) is teaching violence to priests and public in Srilanka against other religions. Before they had the pre-text of internal terrorism. Now, they are openly targetting Hindus and Muslims(Berber background) citing Buddhism should be the only religion in the country. I had to double-check because you surprised me, but Islam is just over 500 years old. It's the youngest religion. An Italian friend (born in Canada and working for government) and a Canadian friend of his were crossing the border back to Canada. He said they were taken into custody saying it was a random check. US agents kept them both in a secluded room for an hour and half. He said by the end of it, he was terrified that these guys were going to plant something in their car and frame them.
