table in flat file ina...all u need is couple of commands...or a script at max..u can dump everything into a csv file. (csv anedhi ooka lo eeka)...excel lo dump from a file ane option vuntadi...andulo delimiter/fixed field legnth options vuntayi....avi use chesukuni ee file ina excel loki dump seyyochu....again save cheseppudu Csv lo ki save chesav ante....ee unix lo ina ez gaa open seyyochu... but small store lo msaccess, VB tyfe applications ithe..I dont have expertise..and I am not really sure if u can do it. but there shud be a way ani matram nammuthuna...also 2 days ante too much...couple of hours seyyochu anukuntunna | ||

erry much poosible.....csv is nothing but comma delimited file...even if u have fixed length file..u can write a small scriptto convert taht to csv file...if it is in DB...dump it into comma delimited file..later u can ftp and open in csv..do watever changes u want..and again ftp the file...load from the file to DB... informix,sybase, oracle lo file ni tables lo dump chesa..using perl..or DB commands like bcp, etc.. u can do it. typical desi POS or small store POS ante...I think..they might be running some VB kind of application..where data is stored in Msaccess ....(like hotels, grocery store..etc) | ||

avasaram ledu...INF items (item not found) inventory lo lekapothe..thru satilite/network..host tho direct communicate chesthadi....item attributes downloa chesthadi...cheyyatame kakunda it will d/l the item features and inserts the data into store machine...if the item is not found on host..then item not found ani error vasthadi..appudu manual gaa store lo add chesukuntaru ... suppose..if the item is not supposed to be carried in that store...host will send a delete item information..in next few days....item again gets deleted from the store...ala kakunda continue cheyyali ante...full pledged information vasthadi..next couple of days...ee ee stores ee yee items scan chesayi ani head office lo kurchuni reports run chesi roju sootha vuntaru | ||

depending on the business req anukunta... anyway, there is something called Aldello.. also if you want a free demo try Groupon's POS.. I know someone (telugu guy) who developed POS however it doesn't have credit card swipe feature.. bane vuntadhi market... if you can come up with cool features... I don't know if there is room for new players in that market segment... existing systems bane features offer chesthayyi.. including merchant account support / extensive reporting features etc etc | ||
