Downtown Toronto is big. If available, tell to go with someone to guide. Public transportation is good and frequent during peak hours(6-9).People are very helpful. Highly advise not to take a car to downtown, especially people who are not used to the city. Obviously, always be aware of surroundings, but Toronto is a relatively safe city. If you survived in India, nothing to worry about.:-) But there are homeless people and such that are around, so don't be alarmed. It's just a reality of life. It's the educational and financial area of Toronto, so lots of people and security around. | ||

toronto lo relatives place ki elthannaru annaru, vaallani adigithe cheptharu ga  anyway, toronto cabs are safe and no problem. most of them are desis. public transit is also good. US embassy is in right downtown and I don't see why you are worried about safety. on any metric, Canada and Canadian cities are much safer than US  | ||

US embassy ki public transportation is the best.......and pretty much from any place in Toronto or suburbs to downtown Toronto, Public transportation is the best of its kind........ u cannot even carry keyless remote of the car..........and parking is a pain too..........along with the usual busy streets of downtown..........If I were u, I would avoid car driving....... no tention with Cabs either..........safe aa antey, I dunno what you mean...........ofcourse they are safe...........but best is to go by public transportation to avoid unnecessary tentions wondering if the cabby is taking them for a ride............in a new city.... | ||
