A California state trooper pulls over a car and walks over to the driver. “Today’s your lucky day.” he says. We have a program to promote seatbelt use. I pulled you over because you were wearing your seatbelt. You will receive a reward of $5,000. So, what are you going to do with the money? The man thinks for a moment and answers, “I think the first thing I will do is go out and get a drivers license.” His wife in the front passenger seat screams out, “Oh for goodness sake, officer don’t listen to him, he always talks nonsense when he’s drunk.” The commotion wakes up their friend in the back seat. He sees the officer and screams to the couple, “I told you we wouldn’t get far in a stolen car.” And then there is a banging from the trunk followed by a voice, “Ay amigos, did we cross the border yet?  | ||

Yesterday morning on the interstate, I looked over to my left and there was a woman in a brand new Cadillac doing 65 mph with her face up next to her rear view mirror putting on her eyeliner. I looked away for a couple seconds to continue shaving, and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup. As a man, I don't scare easily. But she scared me so much I had to put on my seat belt and I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the donut out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against the steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell into the coffee between my legs! It splashed, and burned "Big Jim and the Twins," ruined the damn phone, soaked my trousers, and disconnected an important call. Darned women drivers! |
