googled.. Hate is such an emotive word but I will answer as best I can. Thatcher was disliked more due to the fact that she believed in her own power. Her sale of the countries assets such as Gas and Railways and oil was a short term fix to boost the economy but the public got nothing in return. The miners strike was her biggest thorn and she had to squash the revolt as it could have crippled her authority. Above all her greatest strength was her downfall and that was her single minded attitude toward others. her one good quality is that she opposed the European Union and saw it as Britain losing its sovereignty.
