Vere speakers baagundavu ani nenu anadam ledhu brother... but Bose vacche elegance vere vaatilo raavu just visual wise and quality wise naaku pedda difference untundi ani nenu anukovadam ledhu brother... there may be little difference but maree antha ga untundi ani nenu anukovadam ledhu. Neeku time unte visit electronic stores and check the speakers... usually Bose speakers are always set with ONKYO A/V receivers... naaku other brand speakers size soodagaani endhuko nacchav... this is purely my personal opinion. Oh... then no option... you need to go with the screen. Ayina antha screen size ekkuva brother... try to balance screen size and your viewing distance. Naaku upto 120 projection varaku scope undi basement lo... but I never went to max at all.... so neeku cheppina 2-2.5 times of screen size undaali nee viewing area appudu correct ga set avutundi... plan accordingly for the screen size. The receiver is nice. I am running the next model TX-SR805 which is a beast. There is no limit to the speakers. I guess, you plan to use the Polk for fronts and the rest to make 7.1 setup. You can always upgrade the speakers in future if you feel like. |

Simba:well there is a 10" difference :-). Jokes apart, see how big of a screen you can fit in your room/area and go for the maximum. I suggested the 110" to keep within your budget ($300). If you can stretch the budget, go for bigger one, but make sure you pick a 16x9 format.

If you can stretch the budget, go for bigger one, but make sure you pick a 16x9 format. You run the HDMI cable from receiver to the projector. Assuming the projector is ceiling mounted, you would need 40-50 foot cable. If the projector is sitting on table within the close proximity of receiver, you may need shorter cable. BTW, what receiver do/will you pair this with it. Did you pick the speakers yet? |

Panasonic PT-AX200 looks great with 2000 ANSI lumens at 1280x720 resolutions. I would definitely prefer that over mitsu DLP projector. Check this screen: http://www.htdepot.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=FXO169 A-106-WH I had bought a Focupix 120" 16x9 motorized screen from htdepot last year for $310 including shipping (with coupon). I can't find that item right now, but there is a 10% coupon for all Focupix screens. You would need a 50ft HDMI cable running into the projector. I guess you already know, just to reiterate, buy from monoprice. |

Chiru_fan:Panasonic PT-AX200 (priced $1300 @ Costco - which includes cables as well)
Idi konessy.. no second thoughts... last week you said your budget is less than 1000 andhuke idi refer cheyyaledhu. Nenu konappudu Panasonic lo AU-900 undedhi.... at that time it was $2000 naa budget ki saana ekkuva andhuke lite theesukunna. Ee model bagundhi... this is also a LCD, 720P projector. It has got 16:9 native aspect ration. Ee madhya vacche prathi cinema comes in 16:9 format. Suppose if your projector also has 16:9 aspect ratio then there won't be any distortion in the image as is ga full screen vasthadi. To explain in naive terms... now lets say you have a 4:3 native aspect ratio projector and your DVD is projected in 16:9 (widescreen) format then you will see some lines either horizontally or vertically next to the actual film screen. Ippudu LCD HD tv lo regular channels ki HD channels ki choosina difference idea undi kadha... on HD TVs... regular channels are not spread across entire screen... either horizontal ga kaani or vertical ga kaani lines vasthayi kadha ala anamaata. Overall ga ee Panasoic HD manchi projector and buying it from COSTCO is an assurance too. Go for it. You must be the change you wish to see in the world
