The 42 year old man was a software programmer who lost his job recently and the family car was also repossessed last month. Lakshmi Nivas Rao's wife Jayalakshmi (37), daughter Tejasvi (14) and son Siva (12) were found murdered in the family home with grievous injuries on the head and neck. An autopsy report revealed that the victims were stabbed. The police chief of the city said that Lakshmi Nivas Rao could hold the key to the murders. He is being suspected as the house was found locked from the outside. A relative of the Nerusu's from India complained to the cops that there was no response from the home phone for a couple days after which the police went to the residence. Coming soon after the murder - suicide of an Indian family in Los Angeles, the incident shows how deep the wounds of the global recession run and how no one is being spared. The global economic slowdown has claimed yet another victim. This time, an Indian man is suspected of killing his family in Detroit, USA and fleeing. Nerusu Lakshmi Srinivasa Rao, 40, is a software programmer who had lost his job and is suspected to have stabbed his wife and two children to death, before fleeing the country. Police believe he may have come back to India. The victims are his 37-year old wife Jayalakshmi, their 14-year-old daughter Tejasvi and 12- year-old son Shivakumar. The US federal Police are trying to track him down. Police discovered the victims all stabbed to death inside their Novi town house. Novi Police Chief David Molloy said, " The victims were discovered in the living room and its clear from their injuries that they all fought back trying to survive." This heinous crime was discovered two weeks after the homicide took place. The police went to the house after a relative complained that he had not heard from the family for several days. People say there has been no record of domestic violence case against the Nerusu family. Some people believe that Rao fled to India on October 14. The recession in the US economy has hit the non-resident Indians hard. Nearly a lakh IT and management professionals from Andhra Pradesh alone work in the United States. Hyderabad, April 5: Andhra Pradesh CID police who arrested Lakshmi Srinivasa Rao who is charged of murdering his wife and children in America are going to produce him in Delhi Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Saturday. Srinivasa Rao is charged of murdering his wife and children in USA and slipping into India. Following a request by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of USA, the union government directed the Delhi Chief Metropolitan Court to enquire into the matter. Following this, Lakshmi Srinivasa Rao was taken to Delhi on a PT warrant. He would be presented before the court. The FBI has issued a red corner notice on the accused. Lakshmi Srinivasa Rao is charged of murdering his wife and three children in USA four years ago. AP CID police arrested him in Delhi. They brought him to Hyderabad and produced him before the Nampalli court. He was sent to the Chanchalguda jail. On the directions of the union home ministry, he was shifted to Delhi.
