One thing for sure is there is no reason or rhyme to the approval patterns. Without any RFE, a guy from 2001 is kept waiting and a guy from 2004 gets approved!! It's just luck in the end, once you have your priority date. Cinema for the larger audiences can not be poetic--Andrei Tarkovysky |

http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_4310.htm l Just saw the August Visa bulletin and Eb2-jun2006 is official. I guess it's a rough estimate arrived based on overflow from ROW. The gross injustice towards eb3 continues...anyway, visa bulletins, 2 year ead renewals are all part of eye wash, just another way of shutting people's mouths. You can always beleive the american consulate in india's bulletin which is usually published day or 2 earlier, because for consular processing, they need to let the candidates know before hand to give them enough time for interview. If you are in EB2, still, don;t read too much of the visa bulletin, it's worse than lottery... Cinema for the larger audiences can not be poetic--Andrei Tarkovysky |

Medical done in Spetember 2005, FBI Name check is not cleared (but I think if it is 180 days since 485 filed, even if Name check pending they will approve)!! Politricks:Krishna7 Question. If say in Official August bulletin they update the EB2 dates as 6/1/2006, and one's Priority date is 8/1/2005 and I-485 is already filed and pending with USCIS. Will they immediately approve it?

Chilipy As of now it looks like EB2 will be much much faster than EB3. But, I heard last couple of years EB2 filings are very high and also between 2007, June to 2007, September too many I 140s, and I 485s concurrently filed. So I 140 is taking too long to get approval. But, just file the GC and wait. It may take anywhere 4 to 6 years (EB2). |

Not to discourage you..GC is all about timing.. There have been people who recieved it in 18 months...and there have been people who are still waiting after 13 years.. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst ...when you apply for GC..rest all is mystery and magic of USCIS |

Savage:
Priority Date is not Labor Aprroved Date. The labor certification process has undergone a number of changes in recent years, from the laborious supervised recruitment process, to the Reduction-in-Recruitment (RIR) process, and now to the much faster online PERM system. In all cases, the date the labor certification is filed (directly with the United States Department of Labor for PERM applications, or with a State Workforce Agency for RIR applications) is assigned as the individual's Priority Date. |
