I am always curious about Telugu vaari inti perlu. Tell me original and history of those you know. I recently came to know one such :

Kammas have intiperlu ending with Neni like Parvataneni, Nannapaneni

neni is from Nayani which is from Nayakuni. First people with Nayakuni were army heads of Sri Krishna Devaraya. So,

ParvataNayakuni
NannapaNayakuni
PinnamaNayakuni
AkkiNayakuni

were the original names.

Sri Krishna Devaraya hired lot of Telugu people to defend his kingdom in Andhra and Tamil Nadu. All those generals had names like this.


Those with last name palli are from that village - kotthapally, chukkapally etc.
