Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu does not want to let go any chance to gain political mileage and does not let others to get the mileage under any circumstances. With the Lok Sabha secretariat giving approval to union minister Daggubati Purandeshwari to install the statue of legend actor N T Rama Rao in the Parliament House annexe, the TDP president is hopping mad, as his party would concede the mileage to her. On Friday, he wrote a letter to the Lok Sabha secretariat expressing his displeasure over the way Purandeshwari was given the authority to donate the mileage. “NTR was the founder-president of the TDP; so the right to install his statue should be given to the party. If it is not possible, the opportunity should be given to all his family members. It is highly objectionable that only one person in NTR’s family has been given the right. The Speaker should involve everybody in this process,” he said. The TDP president also demanded that the statue of revolutionary leader Alluri Seetharama Raju also be installed in the Parliament as approved in the past. |
