03/21/2013: Senate Judiciary Chairman Impatient With CIR Bill Delays Report indicates that the hardline conservative Republican Senators including Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and John Cornyn (R-Texas) wrote a letter to the Judiciary Chairman to slow down his push for CIR agenda warning that fast-tracking immigration reform was "a prescription for a real problem.â Some take such Republican Senators action negatively as a delay tactic to block the CIR in 2013. The Chairman Leahy reportedly reacted Wednesday with a release of statement that ongoing protracted behind-the-curtain negotiation rather had been causing delays in CIR efforts as no issues can be debated before the nation and the ultimate stakeholders, the public and constituents. Apparently, the conservative Republican Senators have come forward with such demand as the Chairman wanted to see debates on CIR issues for the public and constituents. Readers must have noticed that the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman lately scheduled and opened hearings on immigration reform issues more or less aggressively. As this site repeatedly reminded the readers over and over, delays will be number one killer for the CIR 2013 and immigration reform advocates have started turning impatient over the so-called behind the curtain CIR players in both House and Senate causing delays in open debates on the immigration reform in the legislative process. This apparent confrontation within the Senate Judiciary Committee gives an opportunity for the readers to peak through the dark veil "hidden agenda" of political players which laypeople would not be able to detect in most cases. Political players always use "tactics" "strategies" and "hidden agenda." Only fools will take what is printed in the newspapers and on the TV screen on their face values and without filtering.
