Sri Sri Sri Vasudevananda Swamy Sage Vasamma was born to late Sri Rama Rao and Smt. Nageshwaramma on 11th June, 1980 and was named as Ramisetti Srinivasa Rao. His birth and upbringing was in the rural background of Eedara, a small village in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. From his childhood until the age of 20, life was a mixture of struggle for existence and inner thirst for Eternal Happiness. During his schooling days and early teenage years, he spent most of the time in thinking of various Hindu deities. He was also found to transform himself into Mahayogini Seetha, a digambara ascetic who walked the earth at a place called Penamatsa (close to Eedara village) over two decades ago, talked in her voice and call out to people in the same manner. All those who had actually seen the Mahayogini were stupefied to watch this little boy in a male human form utter statements that they heard from Seetha Mahayogini. During the Dusshera (festival celebrating the victory of Goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasura) in the year 2000, Srinivasa underwent a sudden transformation. Goddesss Rajarajeshwari began to speak and act through him, Miracles like manifestation of Vibuthi (Holy Ash), Kumkum (Crimson red powder), Sandal and turmeric powder to materialization of Lingam and Sri Chakra have been coming forth since that day from his hands at his will. For one, Vasamma likes these to call materializations as siddi shaktis (a learning that empowers such recreations), but going by his tender age and experience, it beats all logical thinking that he ever had the time to learn these siddhis (magical traits), if they could be called so in common language. His profound knowledge and exposition to spiritual matters and scriptures is astonishing. People began to address Srinivasa as Vasamma and also believe that Goddess Vasamma spreads the message of "LOVING ALL AND SERVING ALL". Sri Vasamma performs rituals (Yagna/Homam) for the sake of world peace. He advises people to take the path of service as "Service to man is Service to God". Vasamma's ashram in the small town, Naidupet in Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh is the place to go to all those who are in need. No Signature |
