Anand_n:Does not make the Bhagavad Purana any less of a reliable source... But do introspect on what you said - any data that contradicts 'your' beliefs will not appeal to your senses
Not really Sis, not because it contradicts my beliefs but the whole story of 24 incarnations etc. seemed more of an interpretation because the Bhagavata purana I am aware of is inline with vishnu purana as referred in the picture. |

In this ref, Bhagavath purana lo kuda same order lo describe chesinattu chepparu sis...Both the puranas(vishnu and bhagavatha) are written by vyasa...so same order untundi anukuntunna http://www.rikhiapeeth.net/2012/09/bhagavata-purana.html The Srimad Bhagavata consists of 18,000 verses, 335 sections and 12 chapters. The book is named Bhagavata because it speaks of the glory of Bhagavan or Vishnu. It is one of the most authoritative Indian scriptures, containing the essence of all the Puranas, and it exercises a direct and powerful influence on the opinions and feelings of all who hear or read it. The Bhagavata Purana is a chronicle of the ten avataras of Lord Vishnu: Matsya (the fish), Kurma (the tortoise), Varaha (the boar), Narasimha (the man-lion), Vamana (the dwarf), Parashurama (Rama with the axe), Ramachandra (the hero of the Ramayana), Sri Krishna, Buddha (the prince ascetic and founder of Buddhism) and Kalki (the hero on a white horse who is to come at the end of the Kali Yuga). |

the buddha we read (siddhardha turned into Buddha) is NOT vishnu's avatara. The name is buddha but Vishnu came in as buddha, during the time when lord Siva killed Tripurantaka. those demons were influenced by buddha to deviate from bhakti and should become non-believers to get killed. ila ani ashta dikpalaka vaibhavam lo chadiva.. |

As a communist left liberal, Gita is all conspiracy by the upper castes to exploit the others..... ofcourse those cruel guys also influenced Darwin to make up such BS stories..... anyways, I can keep searching and find at least one or other mistake/issue with something or other...........and prove that secular communist liberal thinking is the only valid way of life........pseudo ofcourse like always.... |

Okahyderabadi was deep into the chronology in scriptures - he probably has a better insight into this - we all read and see the dasavataras in that order - so I was little surprised by this person's comment The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim |

Zuri:buddha kalki devacha
This is a later day documentation I think cos there is debate on whether buddha is accepted as an avatara...some say it is Balarama.. The person who said the order was not the same to me was a sanskrit scholar but I did not get an opportunity to dig deeper into his comment or follow up on that. CORE 1101 Journey of Transformation "People look to their different religions for an answer to the unsolved riddles of human existence. The problems that weigh heavily on people's hearts are the same today as in past ages."—Declaration on the Relationship of the Church to Non-Christian Religions, 2nd Vatican Council, 1965 CORE 1101 invites students to contemplate these "unsolved riddles" through reading, introspection and conversation. This first course in the University Core Curriculum seeks to forge a community of conversation inspired to explore perennial questions that are central to- though not exclusive to - the Catholic intellectual tradition. People throughout the different cultures and traditions of the world strive to understand the transcendent mysteries of the human journey. The world’s religions, philosophies, art, music and literature are the record of that ongoing struggle for understanding. The first signature course invites students into this conversation via some of the great texts and other cultural artifacts that focus on transformative journeys in Catholic, Greek, Islamic, Hindu and other traditions. Students are asked to reflect upon their own transformative experiences and envision their personal journeys. |
