Excellent effort by Vikram Sampath, thanks to Hindu for publicising this and for Mohandas Pai for funding this.

It does not work on an Ipad. I am not a classical music afficionado but i listened to a few compositions yesterday by Ariyakudi, Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, etc and it was so thrilling to hear their voices.
